The Yorkshire Financial Awards is proud to welcome back Tracy Vegro OBE, chief executive of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), as head judge for the 2026 event.
Tracy became CEO of the CISI in 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience from Whitehall policy-making and financial services regulation. With the CISI being a global membership body and educational charity, she works closely with a wide range of member firms across the UK and internationally — regularly visiting the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Tracy headed up the judging panel at the 2025 awards, offering her expertise and support to the event and her fellow judges. Her guidance was instrumental in recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of financial professionals and businesses across the region.
Alongside her leadership at the CISI, Tracy sits on the board of Salix Finance, where she chairs the People and Remuneration Committee, and serves on the board of the UK-ASEAN Business Council. She also chairs the Regulatory Response Unit (RRU) for LawTechUK. Until recently, Tracy was a board member of the Financial Services Skills Commission and is also a member of the Cabinet Office’s Major Project Leadership Academy (MPLA).
Her earlier senior regulatory roles include serving as executive director of strategy and resources at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), where she championed diversity on FTSE boards and was awarded an OBE for her initiatives.
Ahead of this much anticipated event, Tracy comments; “I was delighted to be asked back to Chair the Judging Panel for a second year. The breadth of talent in all aspects of Financial Services in the Yorkshire and Humber region is something that is not only notable, but extremely positive in terms of the opportunities the sector is creating. Something to acknowledge and celebrate when it comes to Awards Night.”
The Yorkshire Financial Awards 2026 will take place on Thursday 7 May at New Dock Hall, Leeds. Entry registration is now open and closes on Friday 6 February 2026.
