Recognised as the premier event for financial planning professionals, the CISI Financial Planning Conference brings together practitioners from across the UK to deepen expertise, exchange insights, and explore the latest developments shaping the profession.
Andrew Elson CFP™ Chartered FCSI (Financial Planning) served on the conference committee, contributing to the organisation of the event and the selection of its diverse and high-calibre speaker programme.
Sarah Elson and Louis Jarvis participated in a panel discussion exploring strategies for recruiting and developing interns and graduates, alongside practical approaches for integrating new talent successfully into the financial services profession.
Andrew Elson also chaired an expert panel entitled “Unlocking the Power of EIS & SEIS – Tax Planning, Diversification and Estate Planning Strategies “The session examined the role of Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS), Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS), Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) and Business Relief (BR) in modern financial planning. Discussions centred on how these tax-efficient investment solutions can support a range of client needs from income and capital gains tax mitigation to estate planning and portfolio diversification with insights into suitability, associated risks, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
