Yorkshire Financial Awards 2026 celebrates region’s top financial firms and advisers

The Yorkshire Financial Awards 2026 celebrated the very best of the region’s thriving financial services sector last night, as industry leaders, rising stars and innovative businesses gathered at New Dock Hall in Leeds for a glittering evening of recognition and celebration.

Hosted by renowned mind-reader and entertainer Chris Cox, the black-tie event brought together Yorkshire’s financial community for an evening of networking, entertainment and awards, recognising excellence across banking, lending, wealth management, insurance, fintech and customer service.

Several organisations enjoyed standout evenings after securing multiple awards during the ceremony.

CHN Financial Consultancy emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking home Employer of the Year while also celebrating individual success as Sofia Tate won Trainee of the Year and Sophie Thornhill was named Independent Financial Adviser of the Year.

Brown Shipley also secured double success, winning both Investment Team of the Year and Wealth Manager of the Year, reinforcing its reputation as one of the region’s leading wealth management firms.

Yorkshire Financial Services claimed two major titles on the night, securing Outstanding Customer Service alongside Mortgage Broker of the Year.

Other major winners included HEY Credit Union, Beverley Building Society, Leeds Building Society, Finamp and StepChange Debt Charity, which received the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of its continued impact across the sector.

Tracey Vegro OBE, chief executive of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and chair of the independent judging panel, praised the exceptional quality of entries and the standards demonstrated throughout the awards process.

She said: “Each of us on the judging panel want to offer our warmest congratulations to all of you as finalists and especially so to the winners for setting some outstanding standards of innovation, professionalism and client care.”

The ceremony concluded with a live afterparty performance from Lux Collective, rounding off a memorable evening celebrating Yorkshire’s vibrant financial services community.
